Dr. Warren McKay, Principal

Dr. Warren McKay Dr. Warren McKay was born in Las Vegas, and raised in Boulder City, NV. After graduating Boulder City High, he attended the University of Utah and then became an officer in the Navy. After his tour of duty, Dr. McKay then became a math teacher and taught one year at Del Robison Middle School and seven years at Durango High School. For the last eight years he has been at Greenspun Junior High School as a Dean and Assistant Principal.  Last year, Dr. McKay was recognized by the National Association of Secondary School Administrators as the, "Assistant Principal of the Year," for the State of Nevada.  Dr. McKay truly enjoys working with the students and community of Greenspun and he can't imagine working anywhere else. In his own words, Dr. McKay said it this way, "Greenspun Junior High School's students and teachers are the best school in the district. I love it here."

Mr. DePiazza, Assistant Principal

Mr. DePiazza Mr. DePiazza was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada.  After graduating from Chaparral High School, he attended UNLV.  Mr. DePiazza taught 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies at B. Mahlon Brown JHS and Courtney JHS, prior to becoming an administrator.  Mr. DePiazza worked at Green Valley High School and Bob Miller Middle School as Dean of Students and Assistant Principal before coming to Greenspun JHS as the Assistant Principal over curriculum and student activities.  Mr. DePiazza stated that working with students at the junior high age is a great opportunity; it is the “Y” in the road, where we can help students make good choices prior to high school. Mr. DePiazza feels blessed to be at such a wonderful school with such great teachers, staff, and students.

Mrs. Cheryl Winn, Dean of Students
